Few people know, but conventional dry cleaning is extremely toxic. Despite its name, conventional dry cleaning is neither dry nor clean, as this process includes soaking the garments in solvent-based cleaners which is nasty for your clothes, your skin and our shared planet.
Our state of the art modern lagoon® Advanced Care Wet Cleaning systems know how to take care of the most delicate fibers such as wools and silks, as well as cotton, linen, viscose. No harsh chemicals are used in our processes, therefore not only protecting your skin but in caring for your clothes properly and repairing/mending them when needed, we can extend their lifespan considerably. Most people don’t realise but conventional dry cleaning is neither dry or clean: In fact it’s extremely toxic. The conventional dry cleaning process consists of soaking clothes in toxic solvents which are then evaporated at very high temperatures. At Victoria Eco we have replaced the toxic solvents used by conventional dry cleaners with expert eco-cleaning detergents and technologies that are health-friendly, much gentler on textile fibres, and have a low environmental impact.
We’ve invested in the Lagoon® Advanced Care Wet Cleaning systems. Through tailored programs matching with smart detergents dosed in the most precise and accurate way we can reduce cycle times and therefore use less energy allowing us to keep our prices very competitive. By using water and mild biodegradable detergents we can also avoid some of the expensive processes involved in conventional dry cleaning having to remove and dispose of the toxic waste produced from using polluting chemicals such as PERC, Chlorine and Phosphates, saving you even more £s.
